You’ll learn how to choose the right kayak for fishing, why kayaks give you access to shallow, fish-rich water that bigger boats can’t reach, and how to target classic inshore species like redfish, speckled trout, and flounder. From rigging and techniques to reading the water and moving efficiently through marshes and creeks, this session is designed to help you feel prepared to launch, explore, and fish with intention.

At this Women’s Fishing 101 class, you’ll have the opportunity to learn essential fishing techniques, from how to use your rod/reel, knot tying ,rigs for fishing, casting your rod and much more. Our experienced instructor will guide you through the basics, ensuring you feel confident and comfortable on the water.

Whether you’re interested in freshwater or saltwater fishing, this event is great for both! We do primarily focus on inshore salt water techniques but the basics can be applied everywhere! We will learn about different species of fish, their habitats, and the best knots/ rigs to use to target them. You’ll also gain knowledge on fishing regulations and conservation practices, so you can enjoy this hobby responsibly.

Don’t worry if you don’t have any fishing gear! We’ll provide all the necessary equipment, including rods, reels, tackle and bait as well as your entry into the awesome giveaway with some great fishing prizes... All included with your Registration. Just bring yourself, a positive attitude, and get ready to have a great time with fellow lady anglers.

Raffle: There is a Great Raffle at this event for some great fishing prizes if you'd like to participate. (Tickets can be purchased at event for $5 each)
